An evening of fashion and awareness awaited VIP’s and guests, as we arrived at the AT&T Performing Arts Center we were seated in the VIP area until the show began. Jennifer Hobson Productions presented Fire & Ice Tres: Fashion Show & Concert; the third installment for this company. The event was covered by several media outlets, but one stood in a class of their own, with their red carpet, bright lights, and reporters; The BLI Group, LLC. The BLI Group was charged with capturing the emotion of the event, as guests arrived and conducted post show interviews with designers, talent, models, and attendees. Designers introduced their 2015 Spring and Summer collections while recording artists’ rapped and sang live, as the models walked. Guests enjoyed tunes by, Gospel Recording artist Pierre “Greatness” Johnson and the melodic tones of Shavonna Shutes.
Featured Designers were Melissa Poe (PoeM Creations), Andre Yabin (Binzario Couture), Haggar clothing (Haggar Clothing) and Sarah Bemrich (Sarah Martin Bemrich Designs). Guests may be familiar with the Style Network’s, Melissa Poe, of Big Rich Texas or the eye candy of the evening, who ripped the runway, Mr. Ken Echols, of The Campbell Agency – a Dallas based model and talent agency.
I had the pleasure of interviewing one half of Binzario Couture, Mr. Andre Yabin.
Binzario Couture is a Dallas based brand, located at 1920 N. Haskell Ave. Dallas, TX 75204. The brand specializes in one-of-a-kind custom bridal, cocktail, and evening gowns. You will not find your gown walking down someone else’s isle dealing with this powerful duo.
Let’s talk Binzario, courtesy of Binzario.com “With a consummate understanding of custom design, Binzario Couture allows each client to realize her unique vision through the creation of extraordinary custom wedding dresses and formal dresses, and painstakingly hand crafted custom bridal accessories. A breed apart from other wedding dress designers, Binzario Couture understands the unique challenges that go into creating not only a wedding dress, but a treasured legacy as well. While their signature style is simple, architecturally streamlined and thoroughly elegant, Andre and Luis go out of their way to create a lasting couture design experience and the couture wedding dress of your dreams.
”We stress the importance of the relationship we have with our clients. It allows us to know each bride’s personality and understand her vision of the perfect wedding.”
Binzario Couture also offers wedding dress alterations for brides who have already found the wedding dress of her dreams, but want to add a bit of their own style or would like to explore restyling a legacy wedding gown. For more information about the design process, please visit our Services page.”
Andrea and I spoke about the creative process of crafting a one-of-a-kind Binzario gown, and he shared the importance of getting to know each client; building a sound relationship. Andre wants to know what it is that you believe are problem areas, areas you would like to highlight, what’s your personality like, your favorite color, favorite food, etc. You’ll discuss your production timeline (2 to 3 months) to create the gown of your dreams and the budget to get it done; ensuring the custom fabrics, he and partner Luis Nazario design, fit your budget.
I asked Andre what my tagline, “Are you ready to see yourself naked?” meant to him and his response was eclectic just like his custom collection. “WOW (slight chuckle) I love it. It means expressing all of you, creating something beautiful, a custom piece.” I let him know my mommies are custom pieces and there’s none like them.
Binzario wedding gowns starting price point is around $3,500 and a custom cocktail may use a $90/yd fabric to a $1,200/yd fabric.

Next up, Elizabeth Larrosa, one of the models for the evening. Elizabeth walked for Binzario and Melissa Poe. She joined the show to gain modeling experience, but also to empower women. She loved that the show served a greater purpose and brought awareness to Domestic Violence. She won the opportunity by answering a casting call JH Productions held, while sourcing for the shows talent. This beauty is a student, studying dance and education. Even after walking in the show, Elizabeth kept the same spunk she walked with in the show. She was such a joy to catch up with after the show, then it was off to some well deserved beauty rest.

And that’s my take…
